Start a tournament

Open a preset and tap Start tournament. The included Sit & Go structure runs for two hours. Use the plus menu to create a preset from the calculator or build one yourself.

Keep the clock on schedule

Pause, resume, move between levels, or use Adjust time to change the time remaining. The clock uses timestamps, so reopening the app after it was in the background brings it to the correct level.

Notifications and Live Activities

Allow Poker Timer notifications in iPhone Settings to receive level changes and warnings while the screen is locked. Check your sound, Focus, and notification settings if an alert is quiet or hidden. Keep the app visible with Keep screen on enabled when you need continuous table announcements.

iOS manages Live Activity updates. The countdown can continue on the Lock Screen, but reopen Poker Timer to refresh tournament information after extended background use.

Hand over to another iPhone

On the running timer, open More and choose Hand over to another phone. On the receiving phone, open the plus menu and choose Receive tournament, then scan the code. You can also open or paste a shared handover link. Both phones need Poker Timer installed.

Check that the receiving phone shows the correct tournament before tapping the button to stop the original phone. Anyone with a handover link can import its tournament data, so share it only with the intended recipient.

Presets, players, and prizes

Saved preset edits affect future tournaments. The active tournament keeps the structure it started with. Use Players & prizes to update entrants or players remaining. Buy-ins and prize splits are planning information; the app does not accept wagers or process payments.
